Mondaino, the medieval village in the Rimini hinterland, is preparing to welcome the 37th edition of the “Palio del Daino” from Thursday 20th to Sunday 23rd August 2026.

The Palio del Daino takes visitors back to the past, precisely to 1459, when the Malatesta and Montefeltro Lordships sanctioned peace. The city is therefore preparing to remember this event which represents a moment of celebration in which the 4 districts of the city will compete in the prize to win the coveted title.

In the streets of the town, more than 100 selected artisans will show their work on metals, fabrics, glass, paper and leather. There will therefore be the possibility of rediscovering techniques that have become increasingly rare.

In the shops you will be able to rediscover the crafts of the past, In fact it will be possible to observe majolica makers, painters, gunsmiths, luthiers, scribes, illuminators and inlayers at work.

The medieval arts will come back to life thanks to the presence of jesters, acrobats, minstrels, musicians, jugglers and stilt walkers, who will accompany travelers through the streets and give immersive shows. Renaissance melodies will resonate in the streets of the village, giving an atmosphere rich of history and traditions.
