Rimini all year round
from 08/08/2026 to 09/08/2026
The Potato Festival and Gnocchi Celebration returns on August 8th and 9th. In the heart of the picturesque village of Montescudo, one of the most anticipated culinary events of the year is back, offering visitors an authentic experience of flavors, culture, and togetherness.
Organized by the Pro Loco of Montescudo with the patronage of the Municipality of Montescudo-Monte Colombo, the festival is a unique opportunity to taste renowned hand-prepared gnocchi made according to traditional recipes, baked cod with potatoes, piadina, and special treats like fried bomboloni, potato cake, and even potato ice cream. All of this is served at food stands set up in the historic center, where guests can enjoy these specialties in a festive and welcoming atmosphere.
Beyond culinary excellence, the event also features the “Fiera del Perdono” (Festival of Forgiveness), a market that animates the village streets with local typical and artisanal products. Among the highlights on display is the famous “Montescudo Potato,” sold directly by the producers, extra virgin olive oil, traditional terracotta items, and Romagna block-printed fabrics, alongside a wide selection of regional products from all over Italy.
The event is not only synonymous with good food, but also with entertainment: live music shows, live orchestra performances, and dance school acts will entertain the public on both days of the festival.
The festival is more than just a gastronomic celebration; it is a journey into the authentic flavors of Romagna, an opportunity to discover local traditions and share moments of conviviality in a village rich in history and charm.
Free admission, shuttle service, and parking.
