Dante in Ravenna: the story of an involuntary traveler

It is precisely in Ravenna that Dante’s journey ends. Here he spent the last years of his life (1318 - 1321)
Just in Ravenna you will go in search of the places where the great Poet lived and those through which you want to remember: the large murals near the port area and And then Ravenna 700 years ago: the Civic Tower, Casa Traversari, the houses of the Da Polenta, the alleged house of Francesca, Casa Scarabigoli (likely residence of the poet), the former church of Santo Stefano degli Ulivi where stayed the daughter of Dante, Antonia, the church of San Giovanni Evangelista, finally the famous 'zone of silence' where we find the tomb of the Poet, the church of San Francesco with its beautiful flooded crypt where Dante retired in prayer and where the funeral was celebrated, the Franciscan cloisters and the Quadrarco of Braccioforte, an ancient oratory that was the 'scenography' in which the mysteries of Dante’s Bones were set..
His remains were buried here during World War II.
During the walk, excerpts from the Comedy and many curiosities related to it, without forgetting some modest verses written by your favorite guide :-)
