Rail SmartPass is the ticket that allows you to explore Rimini and Romagna with complete freedom! Get full access to the Start Romagna bus network and the freedom to travel unrestricted on regional trains along the following routes:

  • Cattolica – Rimini – Ravenna (along the coast)
  • Rimini – Faenza – Castel Bolognese (along the Via Emilia)
  • Castel Bolognese – Lugo – Ravenna
  • Faenza – Russi – Ravenna

Take advantage of the coastal connections from Cattolica to Ravenna and historical routes along the Via Emilia from Rimini to Castel Bolognese. Purchase the 3 or 7-day passes for only €25 and €50 at authorized outlets or through the MooneyGo app. Children under 4 years old travel for free with an adult holding a Rail SmartPass. In Rimini bike lovers can move along green paths and comfortable cycle paths.

It is possible to activate car rental services with or without driver for transfers both in Rimini and surroundings.

Metromare is the new public electric transportation system from Rimini to Riccione. The total bus route takes 20 minutes, passing through 15 intermediate stations.


The Shuttle Mare is a means of transportation on demand to reach the beach. The service has been operating from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. since 8 April 2023 every Saturday and Sunday, pre-holidays and holidays, and from 2 June to 10 September every day. Access to the service is also possible for wheelchair users by selecting this requirement when booking. To book the shuttle you must download the My-Start-Romagna APP and set the departure and arrival locations.
